One of the few members of the class of 1988 with a really good reason for missing our 15th year reunion last June was Drew Erdmann who was in Iraq. As the Record reports:
Drew Erdmann ‘88, a senior advisor for the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), was charged with returning war-torn campuses across a country the size of California to working order upon his arrival in mid-March.
The whole article is worth reading. Drew also made interesting at a Gaudino Forum last year.
Although there were no doubts Ephs of goodwill who argued about the merits of war with Iraq last year, it seems (to me) beyond reasonable dispute that all of us are better off because men and women like Drew are now trying to create a free and prosperous Iraq. I would be curious to know about any other Ephs serving our country in Iraq.
