The local round-up of judicial activity notes that

Jonathan Clapton, 22, of Williams College, Williamstown, had sufficient facts found for a charge of disorderly conduct and was charged a $50 victim/witness assessment fee. The case was continued without a guilty finding until June 15.

Alas, something seems to have prevented young Jake from getting to hockey practice on the evening in question.

With luck, Coach Kangus will be inclined to favor Clapton ‘05 with some fun-filled drills at the next practice in order to instill in him the notion that the ill-behavior of one member of the team reflects badly on everyone associated with men’s hockey at Williams. Even more instructive might be to give everyone else on the team except for Clapton the extra exercises.

It will be a good day when traditional biases about various sports teams are no longer true. But that can only happen one player at a time.
