Aidan has a brillant fisking of a recent David Brooks column in the New York Times.

Now, can we honestly say that this op/ed is deserving of being in the Times? This reads like Sally Ann Sue, Opinions Editor for the East Bumblefuck High School Courier, complaining that she doesn’t have a great shot at SUNY: Pakistan. Oh my GOD! Colleges require you to be relatively proficient in academic subjects! And, like, they require standardized tests!

I hate to say it, but this is a very liberal article, packed with self-hating liberal excuses for why the meritocracy is a failure because some people are more gifted than others. I don’t know why Brooks hates himself for doing well in high school, graduating from a top college, publishing a book, and getting to wear a pink shirt and write for the New York Fucking Times, but it is clear that he does . . .

Perhaps mean, but definately hilarious.
