Dan Drezner ‘90, easily the most widely read of Eph bloggers, offers thoughts on academics as bloggers. In a Williams context, his most interesting claim:
Blogging can be thought of as part of service. It’s a low-cost way of reaching beyond the ivory tower. It’s also acting like a quasi-referee of public intellectual output.
The more that faculty at Williams participate, publically, in the intellectual life of the College outside the classroom, the better off everyone (students, alumni and faculty) would be. Alas, we still have no faculty bloggers at Williams.
Who will be the first?
