The ‘62 Center for Theatre and Dance has a new (to me) web site. Very slick.
But the logo is either edgy on purpose (with the bottom of the “62″ and “Center” cut off) or poorly displayed on the site. I wonder who designed the logo? The color choice is also, uh, not what I would have predicted. Not that there is anything wrong with industrial grey, of course.

It is possible that this logo is merely treading water until it is decided to name the facility after some worthy (or perhaps unworthy) person or persons.

Isn’t it already named for the Class of ‘62 alumni that donated loads of money to have it constructed?

David R: An awareness has come out of my life experience to the effect that things are not always simple and cut-and-dried - especially when it comes to big money.

Yeah, it’s offician name is the ‘62 Center for Theatre and Dance. Herb Allen’s original $20 million gift, which grew to something like $30 million before it was spent, guaranteed him naming rights. A bunch of other ‘62 alums also gave money.
