Another member of the class of 2010.
Hard work has paid off for Cumberland High School’s valedictorian Alison Hansen-Decelles and salutatorian Brian Earley. Now both are looking forward to future pursuits.
For Hanson-Decelles, 17, those goals are lofty.
“I am hoping to be a secular moral philosopher, humanitarian and writer,” she wrote in her student profile. She would like to work as a university professor and essayist.
For now, however, she will be attending Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. and majoring in philosophy. She said she chose Williams, in part, because of her mother.
“My mom went to Williams College and loved it and it is the number one ranked liberal arts school in the country,” she said. “I just loved it when I visited.”
No matter where her goals lead her, she is certain that writing will be a big part of her life.
I think that mom is Cindy Hanson ‘80. (It is interesting (and helpful!) that the Alumni Directory pulls up her name if you search for “Decelles” even though there is no Decelles reference in the listing.) If Hanson-Decelles ‘10 wants to be a writer, she should start writing every day, perhaps on EphBlog.
By the way, “humanitarian” sounds like a cool job. Where do I apply?

Alison: Please note that your correspondent years ago applied for and secured and to this day has maintained, to the exclusion of you and all others, the position of “worldwide misanthrope”. It in fact is a cool job, allowing one to express all sorts of unflattering and pessimistic things about individuals, groups and the human race. Nonetheless good luck; you will never be sorry! It is a certainty that you won’t forget to fit a good deal of prodigality around your practice of virtues so that consequently your shortcomings can be broadcasted and dissected by EphBlog’s large cadre of morons.

Exactly just what does the above drivel contribute to the thread? Like your other recent post on beastiality, you add nothing to the discourse and your posting only serves to soil yourself with your own offensive ignorance. Glad to see you amuse yourself in this regard but, as for being original, droll or deepening the discourse, you’re falling flat on your face. Are you sober when you write this nonesense or just dim-witted by nature? Either way, why don’t you stop embarrasing yourself and go find something else to do that better suits your limited mental capacity and abhorent poor taste.

See Alison, just as I was saying.
Good, Frank! Don’t let your brain get in the way of your mouth. You and your limited insight are not welcome here.
Aaron G: I see what you mean.
Moving right along, welcome to the Purple Valley, Alison!
Are we hearing the anonymous voices of stake holders in the question of beastiality?
