These are some nice photos of a sunset over time. You can make guesses as to where it is.
You can also see a slideshow that switches from one picture to the next. Kinda neat.

I’ll guess that the round buliding in the corner is the observatory on the top of the physics building.

Sorry, no. I am not sure where I would stand to take such a picture, but I’d like to! Hint: It is taken up a big flight of stairs from a Photo ID from the last few weeks.

Man, I really want to get this one right. Mostly I want to get the tree ID right. It’s opposite branching and either has clusters of buds on the twig terminals, or persistent seeds. It’s got to be a maple, a red one? The rounded, contorted habit makes me think so, but those clusters of buds at the terminals look so large!
Now, Diana needs to be looking west, and there need to be two domes in that direction. Are they WCMA’s rotunda and Lassel’s tower? I’m not liking the fact that I can’t see East or Goodrich, but I want to say you’re atop the old observatory?
But then there’s the clue of that single ovate laef in the upper left corner of the second picture. I don’t know what plant that would be if she were atop the Observaory, where I thought therewere only conifers and a single large maple. So, in conclusion, I am very sad that I cannot make this ID, but I hope Diana will consider putting pieces of plants into her future puzzles; maybe I’ll get a leg up next time around.

Well, this picture is taken from the back of Prospect, above the back of the gym, looking out towards Weston Field and the track. I think the domes have something to do with the college’s heating system. There’ll be a better Photo ID next week, and maybe I’ll include some plants. (But the sunsets are kind of nice, eh?)

Correction: Laura ‘92 is absolutely right, in that the round building is the observatory on top of the Physics building. I looked today and indeed, there is the top of the physics building just poking into view over the gym complex if you stand outside Prospect. My apologies!
