Mr. Livingston is an outstanding artist. Here is one of his drawings, “Mr. Winter’s Family, or the West Indian Way of White-Washing.” A very humble and great guy, he has never had any of his art published. This work hangs on my dinning room wall. Sorry about the poor quality of the pic, it does not do Mr. Livingston justice.

One last thing, he did this work while he was a student at Williams.

Click on the drawing for more detail… it is pretty amazing.

I agree, I think it is the work of Mark Livingston ‘72, based on the distinctive lettering at the bottom. The assertion that he never had any of his work published is incorrect, as Renzi’s bookstore used to sell poster-sized map he did of the Williamstown area. These days we’d call it a mashup: it was a combination of a map, drawings, and comments about local landmarks. It was a common wall hanging in Williams students’ rooms in the early 70s.

That’s right. I believe he did a couple of things for books as well.

Does anyone in here have a copy of that “mashup poster”? If so it would be great if you could post a pic of it on this thread.
