Ever watch the reality show Beauty and the Geek? Me neither.
Here are the winners of season one.
Beauty and the Geek is a reality television show, first aired by The WB network on June 2, 2005. It has been advertised as “The Ultimate Social Experiment” and is produced by Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg and Nick Santora. Each season, 8 “beauties” (young women who have relied primarily on their looks thus far in life) and 8 “geeks” (young men who have relied primarily on intellect and are socially inept) are paired up to compete as couples for $250,000 and other prizes. Each beauty lives together in a room with her geek during the course of the competition. There is a competition during each episode, after which one couple is eliminated.
How did the first season end?
Last night’s season finale of The WB’s Beauty and the Geek hit reality series ended with Chuck Munyon and Caitilin Stoller outlasting the show’s six other couples and winning the “social experiment’s” $250,000 prize. It took two tiebreakers to crown a winner, but when it was over Chuck and Caitilin were able to outlast ultra-geek Richard Rubin and his beautiful partner Mindi Emanuel in the competition’s final trivia challenge.
More details available at the links. The Eph connection? Chuck Munyon, the winning geek, was originally class of 1998 (I think) and graduated in 2000. Informed commentary welcome.

Was he a JA? The Chuck Munyon I recall would probably be unlikely to be on a show like this, but maybe I’m mistaking him for someone else.

caught an episode of this on MTV this weekend; Munyon was/is allegedly a “med student,” and he handily won the massage challenge.

Munyon is PennMed c/o 2007; matched at Case Western for neurosurg.
