Celebrate! Remember! and Honor!
The Life of Adrian Martinez
Monday, April 30th (rain or shine)
7:00 pm Emerson Track, Concord, MA.
Adrian Martinez ‘06, who would turn 23 this Monday, April 30th, graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 2002 and Williams College in 2006. He was an avid and accomplished runner and athlete who valued family, friendship, and above all else, citizenship.
Friends are invited to participate in ‘23 Laps for Adrian’ by walking, running, talking, sharing, and signing a guest book which will be sent to the Martinez family. In addition, donations will be collected for the Adrian A. Martinez Memorial Scholarship Fund, a fund established in 2006 by Adrian’s family to commemorate his passion for learning and distance running.
To make a donation or for more information about the fund, please visit:
http://www.ccscholarship.org. The site also includes “A Special Message from The Martinez Family”. Donations to The Williams College Scholarship Fund may be made by contacting Diana Elvin at delvin@williams.edu.
If you are unable to make ‘23 Laps for Adrian’ you are welcome to leave your note in a box at The Hunt Street Recreation Center (beginning Wednesday morning, April 25) for inclusion in the community guest book.
We are putting together a wonderful gift for the Martinez Family that will
include “Two Books in a Box.”
~The books are leather bound journals that will have all of your signatures, short notes, long notes, letters, thoughts, memories, photos, simple hellos… whatever message you would like to send.
~The two journals will be put into a beautiful box which has a picture of Adrian on it.
~The box will include, in addition to the journals, any pictures or letters that do not fit into the journals.
~Please take a few minutes to send a message to be included in the Gift Box.
~We would love to have all of Frankie and Angel’s [Adrian's parents] friends participate in this gift from all of us.
~We would like to have messages to Lucas, Olivia and Julian [Adrian's younger siblings] in the journals also, so please encourage kids to write in the journals or to send an email.
~There are two journals that are available for your thoughts and messages.
~If you would like to write in the journal you can either stop by Francie Crowley’s (978-287-5010) home, or Marianne McCarthy’s home (978-371-2325). There is a journal at each house that you can write in.
~The journals will also be at the track on Monday evening for you to write in.
~If you would prefer to write a note on your own you may drop it off in the box marked “23 laps for Adrain” at Hunt Gym. (the box is located to the right just after you walk in the door on a small table, it is clearly marked.)
~Emails are also fine and each email I receive will be pasted into the journal.
~Emails can be sent to mfc5010@aol.com.
Thank you to everyone for contributing.
please forward this message on to any interested persons.

Here is another interruption from the Hitler thread. Read the article and watch the video. Admittedly, there is no Eph connection; but I really don’t think that one is needed. Ephs all over should take a moment to give thanks for what they have and who has so generously given it to them.
