This is a graph of the visitors and page views per day for the past month. That big spike you see in visits to EphBlog is due to the greenlit link on Fark a few days ago. The smaller spike is when Julia identified herself on EphBlog and everyone went to see.
I like this kind of data. You can find more at the site meter. Note that EphBlog usually has a very obvious weekly pattern — more people on weekdays, less on the weekends — but this is not so at all in the monthly view above.

Compare the first image to this one that I captured two years ago because I thought the weekly pattern was so interesting. (Also note that EphBlog now gets about three times as many visitors per day as compared to two years ago.)

Congrats on your new found popularity. Maybe a few pit bull fights followed by feeding some Christians to the lions and an IPO could be in store. And the only expense was the reputation of Williams. Sounds like a good deal.

you have to be kidding yourself acting all high and mighty as though this were a publicity move by David. I dislike many of his views, but he is nothing if not consistent in posting the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful of Williams. And when ugly things happen on campus, the best thing to do is to be as open and honest about them, not keep them quiet for fear of hurting williams’ reputation.
Anyone foolish enough to believe this incident is indicative of the wonderful experience of going to williams doesn’t deserve the opportunity to go to williams. Anyone foolish enough to believe this incident should stay hidden for fear of reputation hits is equally undeserving.
on a tangent–what a strange (and somewhat expected) side result of Julia’s ignorant postering–for once, the normally sparring ephblog regulars are pretty much all on the same page. That should show anyone how absurd her act was: ephmom and hwc, rory and loweeel, david r. and kane all agreeing (as well as many others i didn’t name). this may be a record.

Has it occurred to you that the reason it was reported was that it happened in the first place? As David is fond of saying, “Credit where credit is due, please.”

You forgot the warrants on top of the IPO.
How do you salvage a reputation?
Where’s the deal?
Why just feed Christians? Perhaps our entire diversity set?!

“How do you salvage a reputation?
The response by EphBloggers to the attack on the sensibility of the community has been overwhelming, and overwhelmingly positive for Williams at that. Again, you should be directing these questions to the perpetrators of the affront — not the responders and those who are rising to meet the challenge.
