They spent a few days installing this. I’m not sure why. Does anyone have a guess (in addition to identifying its location)?

Entrance to Clark, right? They study rocks there, so perhaps they needed a mysterious rock right outside their door?

Cool. One of the underappreciated aspects of Williams, in my view, is how much really cool sculpture is scattered around campus. The highlights are the fantastic sculptures between frosh quad and mission, and of course the eyes, but I also really like the sculpture behind the science center and the sculpture in Greylock Quad. I am sure there are others I am forgetting … now, if only they would bring rock fan back as a permanent installation :).
