Currier ballroom!

Do they still have Currier Club (bring in a jazz band, set up tables with black tablecloths, make cheese and fruit available, byob — limit, one bottle of wine per couple). They had this several times per semester, hugely popular, probably the coolest event during my time at Williams … and I guarantee no one who attended ended up creating any bio clean-ups …

& I’ve long wondered why the brick above and the stone below. Was this constructed this way, or is the stone a later addition? I wonder if that is discussed in Stoddart’s book.
It’s great that the college has an entertainment space like this. I have long loved the college’s living room in Dodd, as well.

that’s not actually the ballroom. it’s a dormroom. the ballroom is a little further over.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking when I said “special room.” It’s a coveted double — coveted by those odd-quadders who are willing to trade draftiness for floor-to-ceiling French doors and a huge fireplace.
