This is my last Photo ID. I graduated five months ago, and now I am graduating from this weekly series. I think this is an appropriate picture for this occasion.
I now pass over the reins to a member of the Class of 2011. I hope that over the course of the first few months of her time at Williams, while I have been posting the last pictures I have, she has been able to take many pictures that she can post here. I look forward to seeing them.

I’ve always wondered who trims the Virginia creeper off West and some of the other residential buildings so that the windows don’t get covered, and when do they do it. I’ve never seen anyone doing it.

West College was like my second home during my sophomore year. Though I lived in Dodd, my boyfriend lived in West. But my favorite memory of West was when my neuroscience lab partner (who lived in West) and I decided that we would dissect our sheep’s brain in common room. How appetizing for everyone else!
To the first commentator: I know that buildings and grounds trims the ivy in the summer because I have seen it happen.

I don’t think there is any Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolius) on West. It’s all Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata) and what I’m guessing is English Ivy, Hedera helix. This is, I suppose, a fitting mingling for an American university.

Thanks for your pictures. Part of the reason I came to Williams was the devotion you and others show to the college on EphBlog (to say nothing of the magnificent beauty of so many of your images).
