How about that? Just as we are discussing the diversity of the JASC and the JAs, as well as the different experiences of students at Williams, up pops this blast from the past. Good stuff! And those fiery articles about affirmative action in the Record. Can you guess what crazy rightwing kook was responsible for those? (See tomorrow’s picture for a hint.) Too bad that the Record is not available on-line that far back. Would readers be interested in seeing scans of those articles/letters?
And, needless to say, there is a interesting senior thesis to be written about the occupation of Jenness House. You have all read Penny Beach’s ‘87 marvelous thesis about the 1969 take-over of Hopkins Hall, right?
