I hadn’t realized just how big the summer theater has become, and how many venues in Williamstown they are using. The place is jumping!

Yeah it is massive. “theater people” all over the place.
That, and the tennis camp. Summer in the Berkshires. Really good times. I am in town, by the way. Just got in this AM. I’ll be out and around for about a week or so. I am definately going to check out some of the old swimming spots.
I may head into Boston for a night or two later this week.
I plan on heading down to the Hopper in about 15 min and jumping in the Green River. If you are up on this blog, come join me.
Anyone have any idea if the block party is still happening on Spring St on the 4th of July? One of the best parties on the planet, during its hayday in the 70s. They brought it back a while ago, but I am not sure if it is still an event. If it happens and I am still here, I’ll blog on it.

We’re on our way, PTC…with cheese and lots of ‘whine’…and…
(Sounds like fun…would love to hear more about the summer happenings in W)

The unfortunate thing about the theater festival is that the big-time talent it brings comes at the cost of big-time prices, so a lot of students on campus for the summer never see a WTF show … the only thing they come away with is the memory of seeing the campus overrun for a couple months by a bunch of funny-looking outsiders.

‘10 - ask around about ushering opportunities. It always used to be standard that if you ushered one night you could slip in and watch that performance or one the next night. I had several friends that stayed in Billsville over the summer and caught some great shows that way.

Welcome home, PTC. I don’t know about the block party, but North Adams is setting up for a big fireworks show over the 4th weekend after a Steeplecats game.
I hope you’ll have a great stay.

I saw Beyond Therapy earlier this month. It was a lot of fun. If it’s still at WTF, go. I’m surprised they don’t offer student rush tickets.
