Comments were Down

As Larry George noted, the comment system seems seemed to be having some problems.
For your amusement during the intermission:
A very Interesting Reptile, and a data heavy political blog by Nate Silver of Baseball Prospectus.
Also, the Williams multimedia page has video of Commencement addresses.

I edited the post; is it worth keeping up, or should I delete it to avoid confusion?

And Will,
Thanks for the ‘intermission’ filler. You are a character. I just love your sense of humor.
Your ‘Mr Ucky’; ajolote reptile, reminded me of a ‘road’ incident I had a couple of days ago.
Where I live, we have rattlesnakes. And though I fully embrace nature…rattlesnakes are one of my least favorite of her creatures…especially when they are between me and my front door.
Anyway, I was heading up the road to my house, and a split second second too late, I recognized, and ran over, a very large one. It was big enough that the car went ‘k-thunk’, (and then the second wheel) ‘k-thunk’ again! Well, this particular snake was far enough away from my front door that I felt kind of bad…so I stopped my car, turned around to look, and witnessed the darn thing slithering on across the road and out of sight, I kid you not!
The next day, I took a walk…’to see what I could see’. I really investigated. There was no sign of it. No…ahem…gore…or trail…nothing.
Nature…and life… formidable!

speaking of random humor, I thought this was hilarious (sort of tangetial Williams connection, the disdain for Amherst football):

Jeff,
LOL. You probably know this, but the writer, Michael Ian Black, is a multi-talented ‘jack-of-all trades’ in the entertainment industry. Be sure and read the Wikipedia entry on his showdown poker game (for charity) with Jason Alexander.
More of his hilarity, here.
P.S. On another subject….
Not such a bad idea keeping up a ‘Random Humor/Info’ post like this one. Kind of an EphBlog Bulletin Board that one could ‘post’ on, whether one was an author or not. I think Ken has brought that up before. I, for one, would find it handy.
For instance yesterday, when I saw Derek’s comment, I wanted a place to say, “Enjoyed following your journey, Derek…Thanks for the links and glad you are home safe and sound.”
Could we do that? And could it be listed on the side so it’s accessible without scrolling? We could call it EphBlog P.S….or some such nonsense…
