I’m sure Heinz and BBDO didn’t consult Garrison Keilor’s Ketchup Advisory Board/Mayo Speciality Group.
But I like to believe that both liberals and conservatives can agree on that great taste! Has Bill Kristol ever said “Hold the Mayo”?

Bill Kristol probably prefers Miracle Whip.

Hey, hey, hey… don’t knock Miracle Whip. It’s a bi-partisan condiment.
Though you won’t find it in my fridge at present, I grew up on that stuff. My father’s favorite sandwich was garden tomatoes, white bread… with M.W. and lots of salt and pepper. And one of my grandmothers’ served afternoon tea with jello and a dollop of M.W. on the side. Yup…we thought that was soooome treat.
Dick, they do the most innovative commercials in Europe. Advertising must be a much more exciting career over there, don’t ya think?

The Magic Politician received numerous guests greeting his every motion without understanding the basis of his presence. Miracle Whip is the CONDIMENT of a bi-partisan “practique”, where the culinary evidence manifests its tastes for all things at all times.
This “Trot” prefer the taste of Miracle Whip over real history and the bouquet of pedigree and position.

What about those who desire solely stone ground mustard and Tabasco on their politics?
July 30th, 2008 at 7:14 am
Maybe with a little horseradish added?

1. And, Lo, certain Magi journeying to bring stone ground mustard, tabasco, and horse radish to the low manger of politics in this its season of ascent, did find wisdom in the writings of Baker of the Land of Angles.
2. For he therein his words didst relate the Miracle whip-around of the visit of Mayobama to lands beyond the borders of those where unto he is taxed and the raising of hopes and expectations that did occur unto those inhabitants.
3. And the Magi and other followers of the Blog of David of Canaan were amazed at the prophesies therein written. And they took these words into their hearts and pondered them.
Selah.

Rechty: Make something of adding pumpernickel, gooseliver, purple onion and a schooner of dark to my suggested political fare!
July 30th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
Frank,
A little pumpernickel? Okay. A taste of gooseliver on a cracker? Maybe. A few pieces of diced onion as a garnish? Do-able. And an icy mug of good dark beer? Yum.
But all together along with mustard, tabasco and horseradish? Sounds like a recipe designed to bring up ingested poison…you know…in lieu of a stomach pump.
Blaaach!
