Obama is
unpatriotic (flag pin)
out of touch,
a celebrity like pop stars do nothing Hilton and Spears
an opportunist,
a man who would lose a war to win an election,
the kind of guy who hangs out at the country club with a cocktail in his hand making snarky comments about everyone who walks by,
presumptuous (uppity)
And the connection here to Williams is what, exactly?
First, individual authors are allowed to define “All Things Eph” as they see fit. If Dick Swart thinks that this post belongs at EphBlog then, by definition, it does. Obviously, if an author posted too much stuff that too many people thought was too far away from “All Things Eph,” then we might have to have a conversation on the topic.
Second, I assume that Dick’s post was in reference to this discussion, now at 99 comments!
Third, assuming that this is correct, it would be great if Dick were to include an appropriate link (like this one) in the post.
Given that the picture is a direct continuation of that conversation, it seems fine to me.
Obama has had lunch with Hillary…Hillary has had lunch with John Edwards…John Edwards …ahem…is acquainted with Rielle Hunter…and Rielle Hunter..ahem…is well acquainted with… Jay McInerney!
So there you have it…a few minor degrees of separation from Ephdom…Voila!
Quite right! Swart’s post has no connection to the reality of Williams as either I or my father Rechtal Turgidly Sr (1928) experienced it.
dkane and others do nothing but encourage my roommate and friend of many years to continue his almost hallucinatory submissions. I have tried in vain to intervene and to end his dependency on this blog. I had hoped our two-month sojourn had cured him. Alas, to no avail.
On behalf of the Class of 1956, may I apologize to those readers of this blog who expect, yea, demand higher standards of journalistic offering than Swart is able to provide.
The problem: Anyone with even a vague sense of pop culture knows that Britney and Paris are yesterday’s news. Here’s a link to Forbes’ Celebrity 100. Paris and Britney don’t even make the list any more.
Instead, the top 10, in order: Oprah Winfrey, Tiger Woods, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce Knowles, David Beckham, Johnny Depp, Jay-Z, The Police, JK Rowling, Brad Pitt.
So, they didn’t pick other big celebrities, who were either men, or black, or married.
What they picked was two sexually available white women.
But it must have been a coincidence, because we know John McCain wants to run an elevated campaign focusing on the serious issues that America faces.

concerned: The Three’s Company theme was composed by Stephen Sondheim, and Paris Hilton graduated PBK Williams Class of 2003. Happy?

Concerned, you asked the wrong question.

Oh yeah…uh huh… You go girl!
Especially interesting that Paris’s mom GAVE $ to McCain.
Duh, and double duh! What were they thinking?
( Where is that Gei-PC-ometer when I need it? Of course, for McCain, I need more like a Gei-PC-missile!)
