Viking Letter
Posted by David under Andreas Halvorsen '86, Finance at 6:03 am
Via Dealbreaker, here is the 3rd quarter letter from Andreas Halvorsen’s ‘86 hedge fund, Viking Global Investors. This confirms our earlier report that Viking was flat for the year through September 30th, a stunning performance in this market. Has anyone seen an investor letter from Chase Coleman’s ‘97 Tiger Global?
Halvorsen’s letter makes for interesting reading. Professionals are welcome to comment and amateurs to ask questions.

I think the end of October investor letter will be more interesting given the panic that has seized the markets!

FAO Andreas Halvorsen
Hi Andreas
It is a long time since we talked on EuroDisney, and it is good to see you are thriving with your own fund.
I am thinking of trying to persuade an errant management at Barclays bank plc to honour pre-emption rights and not dilute existing shareholders with their soon to be voted upon proposals. Any thoughts?
I left the City 6 years ago and have been setting up a little stock photography business based in the SW England – which is fun as it takes me around the world for travel shots.
I trust this finds you in good shape.
Wishing you every success
