Eph Broadcasters

Posted at 9:02 amThe College’s sports website is running a great series on Eph ex-athletes who are now in broadcasting. So far, it includes:
I wish the series were signed or had some background, as I’d be interested to know how it came about and whether we can expect more installments. Excellent work. Dick Quinn runs quite a shop. Kudos.

Larry:
Thanks for this.
I knew about the two women. They seem to get a lot of coverage on EB. But Flood was new to me…the captain of the Hockey team while at Williams. And from what he says, there’s quite a network…um…I mean, herd, of successful ex-Eph athletes.
Kind of puts a different spin on what I have heard here on EB about the muscular demographic.

Seems like quite the fiefdom, doesn’t it? The Flood piece really opened my eyes. I had no idea. I’m hooked, and hoping for lots more installments.

Previous Flood coverage ,a href=”http://www.ephblog.com/2005/07/19/flood-83-promoted/”>here and here. I believe that we provide the same coverage (relative to their media mentions) of all three Ephs. No discrimination here at EphBlog!
Why the patriarchy refuses to mention Flood’s name more often I do not know. Probably something to do with how he looks in an evening gown . . .

Given what football fans think of NBC’s lame Football Night in America product, it would probably be best to keep keep Flood’s Williams connection on the down-low.

Right, hwc. Now there’s a reason not to recognize an accomplished Eph.
What a downer you are.
SMH…

Ahhh, Soph Mom, cut HWC some slack — I think we all know why he is in a dour mood :)

Let the gloating begin.

Re: #6 - Excused for the week. Will that be enough?
No gloating; just, I hope, a time to reflect and be grateful. We have work to do.

Reflection and gratitude is, on the boob tube, bordering on breathless adulation.

Frank,
I hate to break it to you, but all that cynicism is bad for your health.
Jeff:
FLORIDA!!!!! Did I call it or what? Yes, we can, can!

One person’s cynicism is another’s reality.

I’ll second the motion.
