3 thrift store suits, and close to 100 square feet of the cheapest and most flexible astroturf. And then a hot glue gun to put them together - they were quite comfortable, although a little warm, and definitely required cleaning up after because they shed.

The coal lobbyists there looked less comfortable in that hearing, even though they didn't have prickly plastic on their suits.

Well done.

Can you tell us a bit more about the suits? Who thought up the idea, how they were constructed, what they felt like, etc.?

Thanks for the update Ronit. The astroturf suits were a hit. And I was doing media support for the sit-in, so not actually inside myself. But it was worth using my day off to help the folks from WV try and get the EPA to stop mountaintop removal coal mining.
