Sorry you had to stand up for yourself, Will. "Makes me throw up a little in my mouth" is a far more smug bit of hyperbole than the honest attempt at capturing the path that you made. Yeah I think it's pretty obvious that an '11 writing about senior year now is extrapolating a bit—so what? Poor Anon, with that tender gag reflex.

@Anonymous student: Smugly? Whatever gave you that impression? Most everything on here is based on conversations I've had with people of all class years about their Williams experience. I don't claim to speak for all Ephs; many people don't apply for these positions, and many experiences widely vary.

But for you to claim that I can't speak for ANYONE'S Williams experience is both foolish and ignorant. I am a member of this campus community just as much as you are. If you think I'm wrong, say so, but my attempts to enlighten the 1,300 daily visitors to this blog are supposed to be interesting and informative. If I wanted to write something definitive, I'd go to the Record; that's why I rely on their coverage of events instead of trying to be a real reporter.

just the thought of you sitting alone in your room, smugly writing this drivel, thinking to yourself that you have even the remotest ability to speak to the williams experience as a whole, mr. slack, makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

Sounds like not much has changed since the mid-90's, other than the fact that in the midst of a boom economy, most folks had employment or grad school plans locked up relatively early in senior year; it was certainly a lot less stressful.
