The figure staring down at the type-writing reporter may indeed have gone on to become the governor of Minnesota. Although not originally from the Gopher state, Arne Carlson knew where his name was a natural.
Addendum: Arne was a Chi Psi, not a Psi U. Sometimes the corner drop-ins are for time contrast . The shot of Harry Hart, trumpeter and chef, in the Phi Gam post was put in without comment, waiting for a possible reader reaction to the presence of a black man in a ’50’s fraternity. Or even on campus, for that matter.
